SOME
OF MY BEST FRIENDS...

Yeah,
we know the heading on this item is a trite phrase, but we're
referring to the new, gay sitcom of the same name, which aired
for the first time on CBS in March. The sitcom which one reviewer
dubbed "Will & Graceless," didn't get very good
reviews. Based on the hit movie "Kiss Me Guido" which
was quite successful, the sitcom is filled with trite dialogue,
silly situations and just plain bad writing. But, we have to
admit that Jason Bateman is cute and his costar who plays a
straight Italian, Danny Nucci, is really hot. Perhaps the show
will improve...or perhaps by the time you've read this, it will
all be over. That would be sad, we think. |

WHAT'S
THIS WE HEAR ABOUT EMINEM

With all of the brouhaha going on about
Elton John having the audacity to appear on TV at the Grammy
Awards with the notorious Eminem whose controversial lyrics
include lots of anti-gay comments, we were quite shocked to
hear the following: |
We
were told by a source who swears to be in the know, that the hot rumors
in London these days is that Eminem, himself, is gay. Is this wishful
thinking? Is this just a lash-back by the gay community? We don't
know, but we have to admit that Eminem is pretty damn impressive when
he tells it like it is. As Eminem would probably say to us, quoting
from one line of his lyrics, "You can suck my dick if you don't
like my shit!" So there! |

THEN
STOP PLAYING GAY CHARACTERS--YOU LOSERS

It's infuriating to us to see someone
as adorable as Hal Sparks, who swears he's straight, being negative
about playing a gay character. According to lots of interviews
we've read, he finds kissing another man distasteful and touching
another man very difficult. |

Here's
a guy who's making a shit-pile of money exploiting homosexuality when
there are plenty of talented gay actors who'd give their butts to
have his role. And ditto to Eric McCormack who plays Will on "Will
& Grace." Who, although he's less negative about his gay
role, is still so homophobic that he punched someone out for assuming
he was gay. At best, why can't you guys just keep your mouths shut
like Chris Meloni, of "OZ" who has lots of gay sex scenes
in that hit series and never says a word about it to the press, whether
he's gay or straight. |

ON SOUTH BEACH

Saw ex-pornopup JEFF PALMER the other
night on SoB's Lincoln Road, looking decidedly tacky, unwashed,
dirty hair and very "street person" like. Could it
be he was going incognito or is the formerstar of Falcon Studios
down on his luck? Well, we get a press release that Jeff has
been signed by Pacific Sun Entertainment to star in his first
adult movie in two years. He has also been photographed for
a summer issue of All Man magazine so we'll see what he looks
like all cleaned up. |

Was that adorable RANDY HARRISON we saw
strolling in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Recently? Yep, we're told.
And "Queer As Folk" co-star Sharon Gless was there
too. Seems Gless is rehearsing for "The Vagina Monologues,"
and Randy was with her, doin' the clubs. He is just as cute
as he looks in the much-touted series and Sharon is much classier
and prettier than her teevee character. |

ANOTHER TOM RUMOR?

And now we know why Nicole and TOM CRUISE
broke up! She didn't like wrestling! Okay, that's a stretch,
but we're only quoting the gay weekly TWN which reports that
porn star KYLE BRADFORD who had starred in a number of wrestling
videos, was once hired by Cruise to "come on over and wrestle."

Now,
there's nothing sleazy about wrestling, we'll admit, but why would
Tom focus in on Kyle? Seems that almost any red-blooded straight guy
would take Tom up on a wrestling challenge. Anyway, Kyle refused to
confirm this story, Tom wouldn't touch it with a ten-footer, but the
rumor sure makes our nip |
